PortstewART Galleries is part of the Irish Art Group, which was established in 1985. Founded by Michael Hughes and his wife, Pauline, we are proud to now have three generations of the family involved in the business, all of whom bring their own passion and interests to our collectables’ ranges along with in-depth knowledge of our Irish artists.

Michael is our expert in antiquarian maps and is the Irish National representative of the International Map Collectors’ Society (IMCoS). Darach, Michael and Pauline’s son, brings his lifelong passion of the movie industry to our immense collection of original movie posters. Kaisen, our youngest generation, has started his own collectors’ lines with his graded Pokémon cards and exquisite marbles. The team is rounded out by Megan Hallewell, also extremely knowledgeable in the field of Irish art, and PA to Michael, and Zoey Hughes, daughter-in-law to Michael who assists with online presence.
