Mary Lou
Mary Lou is a self-taught painter from the historic and atmospheric Glens of Antrim on the North Coast of Ireland.

Her unique homeland instantly lends itself to her celebration of the great Irish figurative artists, such as Markey Robinson (1918-1999), whose passionate belief in the "plain people" of Ireland informed his art and his life.

Mary Lou pays homage to the figurists in her evocation of times past and lives lived simply, but well. Even today, the "Glens" remains a place apart from the hustle and bustle of modern life, with many local traditions, long since extinguished in other parts, continuing to thrive and to inspire.
